Dear Colleagues and Friends,

 

I believe that external recruiters should be measured by their contribution to the employer's growth, new hire ROI, as well as the candidate's recruiting experience and opportunity to use and develop their talent to the fullest.

 

Employers should be able to measure this contribution by the degree to which the recruiting partnership supports their strategic objectives for acquiring external talent while also leveraging their internal resources to the fullest. And like all strategic partnerships, third party recruiting should offer the value-add of continual improvement in cost and quality. 

 

As with employers, the key success factors of access, efficiency, value and quality are just as important to candidates as they seek career opportunities which best fit their knowledge, skills, attributes and performance-drivers. I am very fortune to have become acquainted with many high-achievers over the years and as I've followed their careers, the one common attribute I've noticed is that “talent” always finds a way to stand out, to perform at it's best, when placed in a conducive environment – regardless of the individual’s industry or the title on their business card.  For an analogy, I would say that "talent" is a lot like water - it seeks it's own level until challenged by the right environment or atmosphere to rise higher...and when that happens, it crests like a tsunami and brings everything and everyone in it's wake along with it. 

 

Strategically, we seek to help the client and candidate know when the conditions are right for big things to happen.  Operationally, we facilitate the leveraging of opportunity and talent by a means that supports our client's enterprise-wide objectives for improving quality, speed and value.

 

While we approach every search assignment with a deliberate, research-based and step-wise process, the VerticalReach methodology and value proposition are really pretty simple: we utilize the best research tools available and leverage as much recruiting bandwidth as needed in order to achieve the deepest pool of quality talent in the shortest amount of time...without loosing sight that we're in the people business. To us, it’s ultimately about building effective, collaborative relationships with our clients while doing our part to promote a desirable recruitment experience for the candidate.
