Collaborative Talent Acquisition:  Our Lean service offering which targets the "best talent at the best cost", regardless of whether the successful candidate is identified using our client's internal resources, through our independent sourcing efforts or from another 3rd party firm.

 

Retained Executive Search:  Single-hire, retainer-based management recruiting for senior to mid-level executives.

 

Fixed-Fee Volume Recruiting:  Volume, fixed-fee recruiting for quality-critical positions where achieving a pre-determined monthly candidate submission deliverable based on the organization's historical recruitment metrics is paramount to achieving our client's hiring goals.

Screening Process:

Our processes are consistent with best in class executive search practices and involve in-depth telephone interviews as well as in-person and/or video-conference interviews when appropriate to the position and nature of the search.  At our client's request, we can interview candidates in other cities by videoconference via the HQ Global network or host client-candidate videoconferencing at cost.

Search Methodology: 
We place special emphasis on creating accurate position fit-models against which we measure a candidate’s potential for high-performance based on our client’s employment brand, work environment, culture, technical and experience requirements of the position.  By not proceeding until we fully understanding the nuances of the position and company, we are able to make more accurate assessments and thereby reduce time and cost.  See also LeanSix Search.

Metrics:

Measurement is a critical step in process improvement and we routinely track metrics for time to fill, time to start, applicants to candidates, candidates to hires, interviews to offers and offers to acceptances.  New clients are encouraged to inform us at the start of the engagement which metrics they would like us to track. Also regarding metrics, we believe that hiring high-performance talent is the best way to reduce a company's overall Cost Per Hire while also growing revenue in the long term and we promote these advantages by developing efficient relationships with our clients and by closely managing our capacity and work in progress.

Reference checking is part of our typical service.  We also facilitate candidate talent and personality assessments at our client's request.

Fees and Pricing:

Our fee is always paid by the employer. Pricing is typically tied to either a percentage of the successful candidate's guaranteed first year compensation or a fixed-fee amount agreed to at the start of the search engagement. Our fee is usually exclusive of potential bonus, commission or other benefits unless it is a primary and integral component of the compensation package.  Our best value is offered through Collaborative Talent Acquisition, a service level that rewards the clients' commitment to developing a strategic partnership with us.  See also Collaborative Talent Acquisition.

Collaborative Talent Acquisition (CTA):

Our proprietary service offering which targets the "best talent at the best cost", regardless of whether the successful candidate is identified using our client's internal resources, through our independent direct sourcing efforts or from another 3rd party firm. Our most cost effective fee arrangement is comprised of a monthly service fee and a success fee less any service fee balance.

Our methodology is called LeanSix Search because with every step of the search process, we seek ways of collaborating with the clients' internal recruiting organization to eliminate time traps and redundancy while improving quality, speed and value.  A high degree of partnership between the client and our firm is required to achieve a LeanSix Search standard of quality. Retainer:

The following retained search and contained search options are provided as a guide for clients which prefer a traditional invoicing methodology:

 

Traditional Retainer: 1/3rd of the expected fee is invoiced at the start, 1/3rd in 30 days or upon delivering a short list and the final 1/3rd at the close of the engagement, trued up for actual. Offered for C-level searches.

 

Container: 1/3rd of the expected fee is invoiced at the start and the remaining 2/3rds is invoiced on offer-acceptance. Multiple-hire engagements are typically invoiced with a rolling-retainer fashion. We will also undertake multiple mid-level searches on a fixed-fee basis. Offered for Mid-level searches.

Invoicing: We extend 30 days net terms on search invoices and 15 days net on contractor invoices.  A late fee of 1.5% applies to past due amounts.

Expenses:

In many cases, we do not pass direct expenses on to our clients due to having sufficient research on file to adequately source candidates for the position. However, should we expect to incur additional costs such as travel, videoconferencing etc., we will submit a fixed-amount expense budget to our client for approval prior to launching the search.

Guarantees:

On Collaborative Talent Acquisition engagements we offer guarantees for talent quality and quantity.  On retained searches, our standard guarantee for VP positions and higher is 12 months; our guarantee for Director level positions is 6 months and our guarantee for manager positions and below is 90 days.

Off Limits:

Our off-limits policy provides that we will not directly source employees of current clients.  A current client is defined as the specific office, division, department or business unit with which we have a signed agreement in force and have received revenue within the previous 12 months.  See also EEOC Compliance.
