Corey Matthews, CIR

An
executive search consultant with more than a decade of experience leading retained
search and high-volume staffing engagements, Corey has a track record of bringing value
to
leading companies and organizations across many industry verticals
including retail, consumer products, distribution and logistics, manufacturing,
information technology, professional services consulting, public accounting, healthcare and
non-profit.
Corey has negotiated well over $20 Million in talent compensation packages.
Prior to launching VerticalReach, Corey led the Retail, Consumer and Supply
Chain Practice of The Empower Network (TEN), a Search and Recruitment Process
Outsourcing firm he joined during the company’s start-up phase in early 2004.
In his two years with TEN, Corey and his team completed over 30
searches. He previously served as Vice President and
Principal with Hylę Human Capital Partners,
Director of Recruiting Solutions with the Mid-Level Retained Division of TMP
Worldwide and Associate with Kenzer. Corey began his recruiting career with
a boutique firm specializing in the retail and wholesale food
industry, prior to which he held field merchandising, sales and management
positions in the retail, home entertainment and publishing industries.
Corey earned
an AA degree
in Communications from
Ohio Valley
University and a BA in Mass
Communications from
Harding
University where he is a member on the school’s President’s Council. Other personal and
